Top bull riders compete for $1 million, 2010 World Championship

Roy on Top Notch at `09 World FinalsCALGARY, Alberta (October 20, 2010) -
2008 Professional Bull Riders (PBR) Canadian National Champion Aaron Roy of Yellow Grass, SK, and top-ranked PBR Canada rider Zane Lambert of Westbourne, MB, are preparing to compete at the richest bull riding event on the planet, the PBR Built Ford Tough World Finals in Las Vegas, NV. Roy and Lambert will go head to head against the best bull riders and fiercest bucking bulls in the world starting tonight at 6:00 p.m. PT and continuing through Sunday, October 24 at the Thomas & Mack Center.

Roy spent the majority of the 2010 season in the Top 20 in the world standings and currently sits second in the PBR Canada national standings, trailing Lambert by 203 points. Both riders qualified to compete at the World Finals last season, where Roy earned a fourth place finish and $108,000, becoming the first Canadian to place in the Top 5.
 
As voted by the Top 40 riders on the elite Built Ford Tough Series (BFTS), Jesse Byrne of Prince Albert, SK, has been selected as one of the four Dickies® DuraBullfighters. Byrne, the first Canadian chosen to work the World Finals, is making his third appearance at this prestigious event.
 
The 2010 PBR World Finals will be televised on NBC at 4 p.m. ET on Sunday, October 24, with a rebroadcast airing on TSN2 at 12 midnight ET on Wednesday, December 1. (Check local listings for times).
