The Toughest Sport on EarthTM returns to Rexall Place, Jan. 15
CALGARY, Alberta (January 11, 2011) - Professional Bull Riders (PBR) Canada is headed back to Edmonton, Alberta to open the 2011 PBR Canadian Cup Series, Saturday, January 15 at Rexall Place. Tickets are on sale now starting at just $20, and can be purchased online at www.ticketmaster.ca, at the Rexall Place box office or by calling (855) 985-5000.
The best bull riders in Canada and the world - including two-time World Finals qualifier Zane Lambert of Westbourne, MB, and three-time World Cup contender Tyler Thomson of Black Diamond, Alta. - will take on the fiercest bucking bulls in the business for one action-packed night. Also expected to compete are Australian superstars Jared and Pete Farley, 2006 Canadian National Champion Scott Schiffner of Strathmore, Alta., and hometown favorites Kyle Primeau and Len Lefebvre.
“Going into this event I want to focus on the basics,” said Lambert, who finished second in the 2010 season, 877 points behind two-time Canadian National Champion Aaron Roy.
“I’m not going to worry about standings,” Lambert continued, “It’s too early in the season for that. My focus is to ride my first bull - it’s up to the judges after that.”
New for this year, fans now have the opportunity to get down in the dirt with the exclusive VIP Ticket! For only $75, this premium event ticket offers fans access to the arena floor party for one hour beginning at 5:00 p.m. Get up close to the chutes and meet the superstars of the PBR with this limited offer available only to VIP Ticket holders.
The competition begins at 7:00 p.m. and will feature a Championship Round where only one rider will claim the coveted event title. This is not a rodeo; it’s the Toughest Sport on EarthTM.
