Professional Bull Riders Canada takes over Ottawa

The Toughest Sport on EarthTM returns to Scotiabank Place

Ottawa Invitational  |  Feb. 12CALGARY, Alberta (February 9, 2011) - The Professional Bull Riders (PBR) Canadian Cup Series heads east for one night of action-packed bull riding at Scotiabank Place Saturday, February 12 at 7:00 p.m.

Tickets start at $20, and can be purchased online at www.capitaltickets.ca; in person at The Sens Store at Rideau Centre and Place d’Orléans, any Ottawa Sports Experts location, Les Galeries de Hull and the Scotiabank Place box office; or by calling 613-599-FANS (3267).

The Ottawa Invitational will feature
the top bull riders in Canada and the world competing against the fiercest bulls in the business. Scheduled to compete are Canadian National Champions Scott Schiffner and Tyler Pankewitz, five-time World Finals qualifier Matt Bohon of Cole Camp, Mo., and fan favorite Zane Lambert of Westbourne, MB, a five-time Canadian National Finals qualifier.  Fans can also expect to see Ottawa brothers Matt and Shawn Fisher, and Quebec natives Sylvain Champaign of Drummondville, Benji Turgeon of Saint-Gédéon and Rene Roy of Mascouche.

The competition begins at 7:00 p.m. and will feature a Championship Round where the overall event winner will be the rider with the highest combined score after two rounds. This is not a rodeo; it’s the Toughest Sport on EarthTM.
