The Professional Bull Riders will return to MTS Centre on February 11th
01/31/2012
WINNIPEG, MB (January 18, 2012) – February 11th, the professional Bull Riders Canadian Cup Series will return to MTS Centre for the second stop on the 2012 tour. Thirty of Canada’s best riders will be paired up with some of the world’s rankest bulls to compete for cash and points toward the Canadian Cup Series national title. Ticket prices start at just $22 and - for the ultimate experience - fans can purchase a VIP ticket that includes early entry and the opportunity to meet the PBR superstars.
“The best bull riders in the world compete with the PBR and we are pleased to host such an elite group of cowboys at MTS Centre,” said Kevin Donnelly of the MTS Centre.
Manitoba’s Zane Lambert is currently first in the points standings and is favored to win the 2012 Canadian title but finished a disappointing second to Matt Bohon in the last PBR Canadian Cup event in Ottawa on June 14. And Deven Mezzei of Alberta is also knocking at the door. It’s still too early to determine if Lambert will finally get that Canadian Champion Title but one thing is certain: there will be serious competition coming into the Winnipeg event.
Besides Winnipeg, the PBR Canadian Cup Series includes stops at Scotiabank Place (Ottawa, ON) Rexall Place (Edmonton, AB), Abbotsford Entertainment & Sports Centre (Abbotsford, BC), John Labatt Centre (London, ON), the Bell Centre (Montreal, QC) and Credit Union Centre (Saskatoon, SK) among others.
