SASKATOON, Sask. – Rolling into Saskatoon, the last Cup event of the year. Major implications will be drawn out this weekend for guys that are going to make the National Finals and guys that are going for the Canadian Championship, as well as bulls trying to qualify to buck in Edmonton.

We're going to see some great rides, a lot of young bulls. We're going to see some scores for I think Shay Marks, Aaron Roy, Cody Coverchuk, Chanse Switzer, Logan Biever, and Garrett Green. We’re going to see lots of rides from guys like that on some young bulls. Our current Canadian No. 2 Jake Gardner is going to have to do some work, he has a bull that’s bucked him off a few times, he knows what this bull should do, but look for that to be a special one if Jake can step up to the plate and break the curse.

Dakota Buttar vs. Rock Steady

Dakota has been riding phenomenal all season long. He’s been balancing some injuries, but they don’t seem to affect him at these Cup events. He comes in strong. He's ready to win and he wants to win another Canadian Championship. Saskatoon is always good to him, close to a hometown event for him as a Saskatchewan boy and look for him to step up to the plate on a bull called Rock steady. This bull was at the CFR, saw him out in Armstrong, and a few other times this year. He’s a black, horned bull, around to the right, looks good. Looks like one that you want to get on, one that you're going to get a good score on. Look for an 85-point score to set Dakota up for the weekend.

Jared Parsonage vs. Kryptonite

Once again, there’s no bucking this guy off I think to finish off the year. He’s been riding phenomenal, riding everything that he’s been getting on. Rode really good in Medicine Hat and look for him to do the same thing here.  A bull called Kryptonite from Nansen Vold. A white spotted bull, kind of a little bull, but has a ton of action, really blows in the air. He should be around to the right. We’ve seen Dakota Buttar win on this bull, Jake Gardner, we’ve seen all the boys have success on this one. Not a walk in the park by any means, but a phenomenal matchup and one that Jared is going to be happy with. Look for an 86-87-point ride to set himself up for the weekend.

Jordan Hansen vs. Tombstone

Jordan has stepped it up this last part of the season, riding well like the Jordan we all know I love. This guy, a lot of people don’t know, deals with a ton of injuries and rides through them. He’s one of the tougher guys that you are going to see on tour and look for him to continue with that in this matchup. Tombstone is a grey and white bull, around to the right. We’ve seen him a few times, just good, one that the guys want to get on. Jordan should sit up there, style him up really well for an 85-86-point score.

Jeremy Maisonneuve vs. Woozy

We all got to know Jeremy Maisonneuve up in Grande Prairie, went 2-for-2 and made a phenomenal ride in the short round. He bucked off last weekend in Medicine Hat on a bull that a lot of guys don't get along with. He still looked really, really solid on that bull. This kid is the real deal, we've all been talking about it for a while now. It’s great to see him coming into his own at the PBR Cups. This is a great bull called Woozy from Foley Bucking Bulls. He's been on this bull before, he rode him at an amateur level event and he should be just in the gate to the left and a good one that Jeremy knows, one that he can sit up there and ride to set himself up good for the weekend. It’ll be 85-86 points.

Nick Tetz vs. Rank Frank

This is a tossup as well. I like this match up with this bull. In Medicine Hat he didn't have the best trip, he kind of hung his horn and went down to the chutes and they got a re-ride on him. This bull for what they tell me is usually really good, around to the right, away from Tetz’ hand. Should be all day for Tetz. He looked a little rusty in Medicine Hat getting bucked off right at the whistle, but it takes reps it time to come back from a broken femur steam. I watch him in the practice pen make some absolute phenomenal rides. He’s been putting in the work, putting in the time. He’s right on that bubble to make it to the Canada Finals, so all comes down to Saskatoon and the last weekend of the Cups. Look for him to step up to the plate on Rank Frank, be 85-86 points and try to roll into Day 2 and the championship round and get himself a good win and get back in the title race and not just making the Finals race.
