PBR Canada and TSN Extend Broadcast Partnership for 2019 Season

NEW YORK CITY –PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Canada has extended its broadcast agreement with TSN for 2019 in a continued effort to deliver viewers the largest scope of western sports programming in Canadian history.

For the second consecutive year, TSN will broadcast PBR action for 32 weeks, once again recapping action from both Canadian and American-based tours.

Beginning on April 30, the weekly, one-hour highlight shows will feature events from both the U.S.-based PBR Unleash The Beast, the sport’s elite tour showcasing the Top 35 bull riders in the world, and the Monster Energy Tour, Canada’s premier bull riding series.

Programming will begin on April 30 with the first stop of the 2019 season for the elite PBR Unleash The Beast, the Monster Energy Buck Off at the Garden, presented by Ariat, which bucked into Madison Square Garden in New York City in early January. The network will then air six additional Unleash The Beast events from May 7-June 11, including the first-ever PBR event in Los Angeles, California at STAPLES Center, which took place in late February, before broadcasting the Canadian Monster Energy Tour’s first event of the year in Winnipeg, Manitoba on June 18.

The broadcast of the season-launch event will be followed by five weeks of Canadian episodes, beginning on June 25 with the record-setting, sold-out, two-day stop in Calgary, Alberta. TSN will then recap action from the Monster Energy Tour event in Québec City, Québec, the third-ever International Major; London, Ontario; Moncton, New Brunswick; and Halifax, Nova Scotia.

After 14 weeks of Unleash The Beast coverage, including highlight specials of the final two Major events of the season in Cheyenne, Wyoming at Cheyenne Frontier Days and Nashville, Tennessee, Canadian Monster Energy Tour action will return for four weeks, culminating on Nov. 26 with the PBR Monster Energy Tour Canadian Finals, presented by Dakota Dunes Casino.

The schedule of programming will conclude on December 3 with a two-hour recap of the 2019 PBR Unleash The Beast World Finals.
