CZAR LAKE, AB – Delivering a dominant 2-for-2 performance, surging young gun Nick Tetz (Calgary, Alberta) was unrivaled Friday evening in Czar Lake, Alberta, winning the PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Canada Touring Pro Division’s Czar Lake Bullarama.

As the first rider to leave the chutes at the Shorncliffe Lake Rodeo Grounds, Tetz conquered Revelation (Wilson Rodeo), leading the crowd to erupt in raucous cheer. Scored 83 points, the 2018 PBR Canada Rookie of the Year advanced to the championship round second on the event leaderboard.

Tetz then readied to climb aboard Al Capone (Wild Hoggs/Sure Fire).

In perfect time with the powerful animal athlete, Tetz again reached the requisite 8, this time marked 87.5 points, clinching the event win.

For his efforts, Tetz left his home province event having garnered 30 national points. Ranked No. 10 prior to the event, Tetz gained four positions, now No. 6 and within 67 points of No. 1 Brock Radford (De Winton, Alberta).

Second was Round 1 winner Ashton Sahli (Red Deer, Alberta), netting 17 national points.

Sahil’s silver showing was headlined by his 86.5-point score atop Black Beetle (Foley Bucking Bulls) in the opening round of competition.

The Alberta native rose one position in the Canadian standings, climbing from No. 15 to No. 14. He is now within 112.5 points of the top position.

Two-time PBR Canada Champion Zane Lambert (Ponoka, Alberta) was third compliments of his 81.5-point ride on Shake Down (Skori Bucking Bulls) in Round 1.

Lambert, who is attempting to tie three-time Champion Aaron Roy (Yellow Grass, Saskatchewan) for most national titles held by one rider this November in Edmonton, is now No. 12 in Canada, 102.5 points back of No. 1 Radford.

As the only other rider to deliver a score in Czar Lake, Rookie of the Year contender Cauy Schmidt (Coronation, Alberta) was fourth.

Schmidt rode Smooth Off (Shay Marks) for 81 points to collect 6 Canadian national points.

The 2022 PBR Canada season will continue July 23 when the Touring Pro Division returns to Manor, Saskatchewan, for the Manor Fun Daze PBR. Action at the Manor Fairgrounds will begin at 6:30 p.m. CST.
