Jett Harkins and Macaulie Leather Tie for Event Win on the Second Night of PBR Canada Touring Pro Division Competition at Grey Eagle Resort and Casino

CALGARY, Alta. – At the second night of competition for the annual Cody Snyder Charity Bullbustin’, Jett Harkins (Stephenville, Texas) and Macaulie Leather (Calliope, Queensland, Australia) rode supreme, tying for the event win on the second night of PBR (Professional Bul Riders) Canada Touring Pro Division competition at Grey Eagle Resort and Casino.

Both Harkins, who rides for the Missouri Thunder in the separate PBR Teams league, and Leather, a member of the Texas Rattlers, registered 88-point rides to cement the win.

They covered Margy Kat (W Sunrise) and Get Rhythm (Skori Bucking Bulls), respectively, to collect 33 national points.

Harkins climbed from No. 27 to No. 25 in Canada, while Leather surged from No. 47 to No. 28.

Atop the race for the 2025 PBR Canada Championship and accompanying $100,000 bonus, No. 1 Dakota Buttar (Eatonia, Saskatchewan) tied for sixth to extend his lead in the standings.

Buttar rode Sellin Dreams (Outlaw Buckers Rodeo Corp) for 83 points to collect 10.5 Canadian national points.

The two-time PBR Canada Champion now leads No. 2 Jake Gardner (Fort St. John, British Columbia), who was bucked off by God Bless (W Sunrise) in 4.81 seconds Wednesday night, by 152.5 points.

Cody Coverchuk (Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan), Jerson Arantes (Paranaiba, Brazil) and Cauy Schmidt (Coronation, Alberta) tied for sixth alongside Buttar.

They earned 83-point scores and a matching 10.5 national points by covering Blast Off (X6 Ranch Bucking Cattle), Linebacker (Skori Bucking Bulls) and Flash Backs (Outlaw Buckers Rodeo Corp.).

Coverchuk remained No. 4 in Canada, now 375.17 points back of No. 1 Buttar, while Arantes rose from No. 20 to No. 19 and Schmidt solidified his No. 22 ranking.

Returning to the top of the event leaderboard, Francisco Costa (Humaita, Brazil) was third, netting 18 national points.

The rising Brazilian covered Red Rust (Vold Rodeo) for 85.5 points, rising one spot in the Canadian standings from No. 11 to No. 10. He is now 563.67 points back of the top spot.

Rounding out the Top 5 and tying for fourth was Texas Rattler Brady Fielder (Clermont, Queensland, Australia) and Dawson Shannon (Drayton Valley, Alberta).

Both contenders were marked 85 points, as Fielder bested Equalizer (Outlaw Buckers Rodeo Corp.) and Shannon conquered Patiently Waiting (Skori Bucking Bulls).

Fielder and Shannon both earned 14 national points. Fielder rose from No. 25 to No. 23 in the Canadian standings, while Shannon surged from unranked to No. 39.

In the bull pen, Lost Creek (Vold Rodeo/R Saga Ranch), Blue Nerve (X6 Ranch Bucking Cattle) and Cracker Jack (W Sunrise) bucked a cut above the rest, tying for Bull of the Event with matching 43.5-point outs.

Lost Creek lit up the scoreboard for his 6.84 seconds of work with Jared Parsonage (Maple Creek, Saskatchewan), while Blue Nerve turned heads when he tossed Texas Rattler Ezekiel Mitchell (Rockdale, Texas) in 2.19 seconds, and Cracker Jack wowed by bucking off Rattler Callum Miller (Warwick, Queensland, Australia) in 3.68 seconds.
