SASKATOON, Sask. – For the 17th time in history, PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Canada will buck into Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, as the elite Cup Series takes over SaskTel Centre for two nights of competition on October 24-25 for the PBR Saskatoon Classic, presented by Redhead Equipment and Case IH.

PBR Canada’s Cup Series, which set tour attendance records in nine cities in 2024, features Canada’s best riders alongside some of the organization’s top international athletes, squaring off against the rankest bucking bulls from across the nation. The PBR Saskatoon Classic will have added significance as the lone PBR Canada Cup Series event in Saskatchewan during the 2025 individual season.

For two nights only, fans will witness exhilarating 8-second rides and wrecks throughout the unpredictable, action-packed event as the PBR’s courageous bull-riding athletes face off against their 1,800-pound opponents born to buck.

The PBR Saskatoon Classic, presented by Redhead Equipment and Case IH, will mark the ninth and final event of the 2025 regular season for PBR Canada’s premier Cup Series.

When the Cup Series last travelled to Saskatoon in October 2024, teenage phenom John Crimber (Decatur, Texas) rode supreme, clinching his repeat victory of the event inside SaskTel Centre with a monster 90-point ride.

Crimber got off to a hot start in the opening round, tying for the Round 1 win compliments of an 86.5-point ride atop Smooth Sailor (Shay Marks). The 19-year-old sensation, who rides for the Florida Freedom in the separate PBR Teams league, then overtook sole ownership of the top spot on the leaderboard when he won Round 2 with an 87.5-point ride aboard Sin Wagon (Vold Rodeo/Prescott).

With the first pick in the championship round bull draft, Crimber selected a familiar opponent in Langham Kid (Two Bit Bucking Bulls). In 2023 in Saskatoon, Crimber clinched the event win in his Canadian debut after going the distance atop the powerful animal athlete for a mammoth 91.5 points. Repeating his past success, Crimber remained in perfect time with Langham Kid, matching him jump-for-jump en route to a 91-point score, clinching the 2024 victory.

Other past PBR Canada Cup Series event winners in Saskatoon are: Lonnie West (2022 – Cadogna, Alberta); Jordan Hansen (2021 – Amisk, Alberta); Daylon Swearingen (2019 – Piffard, New York); Cody Coverchuk (2018 – Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan); Zane Lambert (2017, 2016 – Ponoka, Alberta); Edgard Durazo (2017 – Moztezuma, Sonora, Mexico); Brady Oleson (2015 – Blackfoot, Idaho); Aaron Roy (2014, 2009 – Yellow Grass, Saskatchewan); Rosendo Ramirez (2014 – Huichapan, Hidalgo, Mexico); Scott Schiffner (2013 – Strathmore, Alberta); Ty Pozzobon (2012 – Merritt, British Columbia); Dusty Ephrom (2011 – Kenosee Lake, Saskatchewan); Harve Stewart (2011 – Stephenville, Texas); and Mike Lee (2010 – Decatur, Texas).
