BRANDON, Man. – After a more than two-month break, the elite PBR Canada Cup Series resumes this weekend in Brandon, Manitoba.

And while the Cup Series may have been dark the past two months, Canada’s top bull riders have been hitting the road competing across the nation on the Touring Pro Division, including just last night in nearby Dauphin.

No. 1 Jake Gardner will ride into Brandon on a hot streak, but he is well within the sights of two-time PBR Canada Champions Cody Coverchuk and Dakota Buttar.
It may be early in the season, but the race for the 2025 PBR Canada Championship and accompanying $100,000 bonus is hotter than ever.

Dakota Buttar vs. Smooth Sailor
First bull out tonight is a heater to say the least. Big gray, high horn bull from Shay Marks and company. This bull has a few different trips to him, could go either way. We saw John Crimber get a big score on him in Saskatoon. Dakota looked really good last night in Dauphin, looks like he’s on his game. This is a possible round win for sure. It's going to be a handful for Dakota, but it should fit his style really well. I can see 87-88-point ride and start the action off with a bang.
Jared Parsonage vs. Upstairs Basement
This is a rematch for Jared. Jared's going to pick and choose where he's going to go this year, going to stay healthy and be in contention for the championship. Rematch, he rode this bull for an 83 once, an 85 once. Should be around to the left, a black bull should be all day for Jared to set himself great for this two-day event.
Cody Coverchuk vs. Pagewire
Cody Coverchuk is looking phenomenal once again this year. Wanting to win, wanting to get another championship. The couple of events that I've seen him at he looks unstoppable, and this is going to be a test for him. This bull was in Camrose, bucked off Jared Parsonage. A lot of up and down. You have to do everything right to get the whistle, but one that you can get a round win on. Look for Coverchuk to sit in the middle and get himself an 87-88-point ride to set himself up for the weekend.
Aaron Roy vs. Relatively Famous
This is a brindle bull, should be right in the gate to the right, he can fade to the right and go back to the left. Ashton Sahli got the round win on him in Red Deer, right in the gate to the right. Aaron knows that this bull has a few different trips to him, but I'm assuming this bull’s going to be right in the gate to the right, right into Aaron’s hand. The wily veteran is back riding really good, and this is going to be and 85-86-point ride for Aaron.
Weston Davidson vs. Affairs In Order
Weston is the champion from last year in Brandon, he likes this arena. He's going to step up to the plate and stick this one. This bull should be right in the gate to the right. He's got a little bit of back up to him, Weston’s going to have to keep riding the full 8 seconds and not to get sitting there. This bull gets better as he goes. But from what I've seen, should fit Weston’s style perfectly. Look for an 86-87-point ride for Weston to set his weekend up great.
