ELNORA, Alta. – As an electric Saturday night crowd watched on, Gilmar Santana (Ouro Preto, Brazil) showed up and showed out, delivering the high-marked ride of the PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Canada Touring Pro Division event in Elnora, Alberta, to win the 25th Elnora Brahma Rama.

As competition got underway in Round 1, Santana was tasked with Kish Me Again (Wilson Rodeo). Despite being bucked off in 5.4 seconds, Santana was quick to rebound.

Next paired with Ramble On (Big Stone Rodeo Co.) in Round 2, Santana burst from the chutes at the Elnora Agriculture Grounds and remained in perfect time with the powerful animal athlete en route to the requisite 8. Santana was marked an event-best 87.5 points to clinch the victory.

Santana netted 46 national points for the golden finish. He surged from No. 28 to No. 21 in the race for the 2025 PBR Canada Championship and accompanying $100,000 bonus.

Ashton Sahli (Red Deer, Alberta) was second, collecting 33 national points.

Following a 2.39-second buckoff dealt by Another Dinger (Big Stone Rodeo Co.) in Round 1, Sahli bested Key Linx Fingers (Big Stone Rodeo Co.) for 87 points in Round 2.

Sahli climbed from No. 18 to No. 14 in the Canadian standings by way of the silver showing.

Third was Boston Leather (Calliope, Queensland, Australia).

Leather, who rides for the Missouri Thunder in the separate PBR Teams league, won Round 1 courtesy of an 83-point ride atop Ranahan (Kinky Buckers). The Australian young gun fell short of the win when he was tossed by Jingle And Go (Wilson Rodeo) in 2.01 seconds in the final round.

Leaving the Elnora Agriculture Grounds with 26 national points, Leather rose from No. 39 to No. 32 in Canada.

Jared Parsonage (Maple Creek, Saskatchewan) parlayed an 82.5-point ride on Little Red Jacket (Lazy P Rodeo) in Round 1 into a fourth-place finish, earning 20 Canadian points.

Seeking his first PBR Canada Championship this November, Parsonage remained No. 3 in Canada, propelled within 226.17 points of No. 1 Dakota Buttar (Eatonia, Saskatchewan).

Rounding out the Top 5 in fifth was Dusty Golden (Mayerthorpe, Alberta, Canada).

Golden earned 17 national points for his 80.5-point ride aboard Lucifer (Wilson Rodeo) in Round 2. He rose from No. 48 to No. 37 in Canada.

In the bull pen, Ramble On (Big Stone Rodeo Co.) bucked a cut above the rest, crowned the Bull of the Event. Bucking in Round 2, the bovine athlete was scored an unrivaled 42.5 points when he was ridden by Santana.
