DAUPHIN, Man. – In front of a raucous Thursday night crowd in Dauphin, Manitoba, Jake Gardner (Fort St. John, British Columbia) showed up and showed out, going a perfect 2-for-2 to win the Touring Pro Division event at Credit Union Place, extending his lead atop the standings in the race for the 2025 PBR Canada Championship and accompanying $100,000 bonus.

Garnder began PBR Dauphin with a bang, delivering the second-best score of Round 1 when he covered Night Stalker (X6 Ranch Bucking Cattle/B2 Braithwaite Ranches) for 84.5 points.

The reserved British Columbia rider’s momentum continued to roll in the championship round. Making the 8 on Patiently Waiting (Skori Bucking Bulls) for an event-best 86 points, the qualified ride clinched the event victory for Gardner.

Courtesy of the win, Gardner earned a crucial 56.67 national points. He furthered his stronghold on the No. 1 rank in Canada, now leading No. 2 Cody Coverchuk (Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan) by an increased 75.17 points.

Two-time PBR Canada Champion Coverchuk finished fifth at PBR Dauphin.

After winning Round 1 with an 86-point effort aboard Night Fury (Skori Bucking Bulls), Coverchuk came up short of the victory when he was tossed by Blue Nerve (X6 Ranch Bucking Cattle) in 3.66 seconds in the final round.

Coverchuk earned 21 national points for the Top 5 finish.

Second was Rafael Parra (Mandaguaçu, Brazil).

Parra rode Elk (Lazy S Bucking Bulls) for 83.5 points in Round 1, and Samcro (Lazy S Bucking Bulls) for 86 points in the championship round to collect 45.67 national points.

The Brazilian newcomer climbed from No. 30 to No. 19 in Canada.

Dakota Buttar (Eatonia, Saskatchewan) was third, netting 34.67 national points.

Two-time PBR Canada Champion Buttar first put points on the board in Round 1 when he bested Desperado (Lazy S Bucking Bulls) for 83 points.

Buttar then punctuated his performance at PBR Dauphin with an 86-point ride on Pay Day (Skori Bucking Bulls) in the championship round.

Chasing his unprecedented third national title this November, Buttar remained No. 3 in Canada, now 99 points behind No. 1 Gardner.

Rounding out the Top 5 in fourth was Ashton Sahli (Red Deer, Alberta).

Sahli travelled to Dauphin fresh off his PBR World Finals debut. As the only other rider to cover both of his bovine athlete opponents, Sahli conquered Scooby Snacks (Lazy S Bucking Bulls) for 81.5 points in Round 1, and Holdin My Own (X6 Ranch Bucking Cattle) for 82 points in the championship round.

Earning 27.33 national points, Sahli rose from No. 10 to No. 7 in Canada, propelled within 188.33 points of No. 1 Gardner.

In the bull pen, Blue Nerve bucked supreme, crowned the Bull of the Event. The powerful animal athlete was marked an unrivaled 43.5 points for his buckoff of Coverchuk in the championship round.
