SASKATOON, Sask. – Set to begin its eleventh season as the nation’s premier bull riding series, PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Canada’s nationally-televised Cup Series will hold 11 events throughout 2026, visiting as many cities across Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Ontario and Saskatchewan.

PBR Canada heads into the 2026 season riding strong momentum from 2025 having set tour records in eleven cities, welcoming more than 75,000 fans.

For the sixth consecutive season, the PBR Canada National Finals will be held in Edmonton, Alberta, at the state-of-the-art Rogers Place, awarding a record-setting $275,000, including a $100,000 bonus to be presented to the 2026 PBR Canada Champion. Additional highlight moments upcoming in 2026, include the Cup Series’ debut in Hamilton, Ontario, on May 30, and a 25th anniversary celebration of PBR action in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, on Oct. 23-24.

The elite Cup Series features Canada’s top bull riders, alongside some of the PBR’s top international athletes, squaring off against the rankest bucking bulls in North America. Fans will witness exhilarating 8-second rides and wrecks throughout the action-packed event as the PBR’s courageous riders face off against their 1,800-pound animal-athlete opponents.

PBR Canada’s Cup Series is televised nationally on the TSN family of channels, bringing the heart-pounding action to fans across the nation.

For the fifth consecutive season, the 2026 season will launch on January 31 in Red Deer, Alberta, with the PBR Red Deer Classic at Marchant Crane Centrium.

In February 2025, Dakota Buttar (Eatonia, Saskatchewan) got off to a hot start, catapulting to the No. 1 rank in Canada as he went a perfect 2-for-2 to win the sold-out PBR Red Deer Classic.

Roughly one month later, the Cup Series will return to VisitLethbridge.com Arena in Lethbridge, Alberta for the eighth consecutive season, on March 6-7 for the PBR South Country Co-op Showdown.

Last season, continuing to ride in seemingly unstoppable form in Lethbridge, Nick Tetz (Calgary, Alberta) defended his title as South County Co-op Showdown winner by going a flawless 3-fo-3 inside VisitLethbridge.com Arena. Tetz has now won every Cup Series event in Lethbridge since 2022.

The Cup Series will then travel to Brandon, Manitoba, for the fifth time in as many years, holding the PBR Mazergroup Chute Out at Assiniboine Credit Union Place on May 1-2. Last season at the Cup Series’ lone Manitoba event, Jake Gardner (Fort St. John, British Columbia) defended his No. 1 rank in Canada by going a perfect 3-for-3 to win the sold-out event.

To conclude May, PBR Canada will take the elite Cup Series to Hamilton, Ontario for the first time in history. The event inside TD Coliseum will mark just the third ever PBR tour stop in the city, and first in more than 15 year.

As June gets underway, PBR Canada will continue to crisscross Ontario, holding two additional events in the province. The nation’s premier tour will first return to Canada Life Place in London on June 5.

This past June, in front of a record-setting, sold-out crowd, two-time PBR Canada Champion Buttar earned his second Cup Series win of 2025 via a perfect 3-for-3 showing to reclaim the No. 1 rank in Canada.

Remaining in Ontario, the Cup Series will then buck back to Ottawa and the home of the NHL’s Ottawa Senators, Canadian Tire Centre, on June 13.

Nearly one month later, the tour will hold its only mid-week show in Kelowna, British Columbia, on July 16 at Prospera Place.

Following a two-month break, the Cup Series will resume on September 26 in Grande Prairie, Alberta, at Bonnetts Energy Centre.

Making a subsequent stop in Medicine Hat, Alberta, and Co-op Place on October 17, the regular season will conclude in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan at SaskTel Centre for the sixth consecutive season, Oct. 23-24. The event in Saskatoon will mark the 25th anniversary of PBR action inside SaskTel Centre.

At the 2025 event in Saskatoon, the race for the season’s PBR Canada Championship reached a new level of intensity as Jared Parsonage (Maple Creek, Saskatchewan) surged from No. 3 to No. 1 in Canada by winning the event via a flawless 3-for-3 outing inside SaskTel Centre.

For the sixth time in history, the PBR Canada National Finals will be held in Edmonton, Alberta, at Rogers Place. After a season-long battle, the 2026 PBR Canada Champion will be crowned following the two-day, season-culminating event on Nov. 13-14.

The 2025 PBR Canada National Finals concluded one of the nation’s most intense seasons, as Parsonage, Buttar and Gardner battled it out until the final outs of the season for the title of PBR Canada Champion.

Riding a wave of momentum at season’s end, Parsonage travelled to Edmonton ranked No. 1 in Canada and continued to ride in white-hot form. He delivered a perfect 4-for-4 performance inside Rogers Place to win the National Finals event title along with the 2025 PBR Canada Championship.

Parsonage earned $150,000 inside Rogers Place, including the $100,000 Champion’s bonus, concluding the 2025 campaign having won $230,101.73 on home soil. His earnings were part of the richest season in PBR Canada history as they awarded more than $1 million across the 36-event season, including $250,000 at the PBR Canada National Finals.

Parsonage is the fifth rider to win the PBR Canada Championship and PBR Canada National Finals in the same season. The veteran Saskatchewan man also made history as the first rider to ever win the PBR Canada Championship and CPRA (Canadian Professional Rodeo Association) bull riding championship in the same season. This past October, Parsonage won his third career CPRA title inside Rogers Place.

Moments after winning the coveted PBR Canada honors, Parsonage announced his retirement from the sport of bull riding.
