Tyler Craig Wins Touring Pro Division Event in Czar Lake, Alberta to Crack Top 15 in the Race for the 2026 Canadian Championship

CZAR LAKE, Alta. – On Friday night at the Shorncliffe Lake Rodeo Grounds, Tyler Craig (Crossfield, Alberta) showed up and showed out, going a perfect 2-for-2 to win the Touring Pro Division’s Czar Lake Bullarama, cracking the Top 15 in the race for the 2026 PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Canada Championship.

Craig first struck in Round 1 when he delivered the second-best score, an 85.1-point trip aboard Hood Mentality (S&M Bucking Bulls).

The reserved Albertan then overtook the event lead, and ultimately clinched his first win of the season, when he topped Day Thuggin (S&M Bucking Bulls) for 87.2 points in the championship round.

Craig’s golden finish earned him a crucial 116 national points. He rose from No. 21 to No. 13 in the race for this season’s PBR Canada Championship and accompanying $100,000 bonus, climbing within 736.83 points of No. 1 Nick Tetz (Calgary, Alberta).

No. 1 Tetz was not in competition at the Czar Lake Bullarama, allowing No. 2 Gilmar Santana (Ouro Preto, Brazil) to gain ground on the nation’s top ranking.

Santana finished fifth in Czar Lake, garnering 33 national points to lessen Tetz’ lead to 341.33 points. Going 1-for-2, Santana rode Berrendo (Eno Bucking Bulls) for 84.1 points in the opening round, before being upended by Glory Days (Eno Bucking Bulls) in 3.22 seconds in the final round.

Returning to the top of the event leaderboard, Lonnie West (Cadogan, Alberta) was second, collecting 93 national points.

After covering Honey Badger (S&M Bucking Bulls) for 80.1 points in Round 1, West delivered the high-marked ride of the event when he conquered Cinch Jeans Ramble On (Big Stone Rodeo Ro.) for 88.7 points in the championship round.

Chasing his career first PBR Canada Championship this November, West vaulted from No. 15 to No. 9 in national standings. He now trails No. 1 Tetz by 686.83 points.

As the final rider to go a flawless 2-for-2 at the Czar Lake Bullarama, Kansas City Outlaws standout Koltin Hevalow (McAlester, Oklahoma) was third.

Hevalow rode Petty Cash (Thompson Rodeo Livestock) for 84.4 points in Round 1, and More or Less (Thompson Rodeo Livestock) for 82.6 points in the championship round.

Returning to the United States with 70 national points, Hevalow rose from No. 42 to No. 27 in the Canadian standings.

Rounding out the Top 5 in fourth was 2017 PBR Canada Rookie of the Year Coy Robbins (Camrose, Alberta).

Robbins delivered the top score of Round 1 when he made the requisite 8 on Lil Nasty (Foley Bucking Bulls) for 85.6 points. The veteran contender, however, was denied a shot at the win when he was tossed by Magic Jam (Vold Rodeo) in a close 6.09 seconds in the final round.

Leaving Czar Lake with 49 national points, Robbins rose one position in the national standings from No. 16 to No. 15.

In the bull pen, Choices (Eno Bucking Bulls) bucked supreme, crowned the Bull of the Event. The powerful animal athlete was marked an unrivaled 43.7 points in the championship round for his 3.66 seconds of work against Jordan Hansen (Amisk, Alberta).
