CALGARY, Alta. – On Saturday night in Calgary, Alberta, at Grey Eagle Resort & Casino, young gun Jayden Roy (Mascouche, Quebec) reached a crucial career milestone, winning his career-first PBR (Professional Bull Riders) event, victorious at the Canadian Touring Pro Division’s Cody Snyder Charity Bullbustin’.

Roy, who was recently drafted by the Nashville Stampede ahead of the 2026 season for the PBR Teams League, drew Twisted Reign (X6 Ranch Bucking Cattle) as his bovine athlete opponent for the one-round event. Bursting from the chutes, Roy matched the bull jump-for-jump en route to the 8-second whistle, awarded an unrivaled 87.4 points.

Courtesy of the win, Roy collected 88 national points. He surged from No. 12 to No. 7 in the race for the 2026 PBR Canada Championship and accompanying $100,000 bonus. He now trails No. 1 Nick Tetz (Calgary, Alberta) by 642.83 points.

Tetz was in competition Saturday night, however, failed to grow his lead, bucking off both of his draws as a double entry. The two-time PBR Canada Champion was bested by Dirty Habits (Legend Rodeo) in 5.69 seconds, and Rank Frank (X6 Ranch Bucking Cattle/Legend Rodeo Stock) in 4.78 seconds.

Returning to the top of the event leaderboard, Francisco Costa (Humaita, Brazil) was second.

Costa rode Little Sheepish (Vold Rodeo) for 83 points to net 58 national points. He rose from No. 11 to No. 10 in Canada, now 669.67 points behind No. 1 Tetz.

Trinity Bear (Whitewood, Saskatchewan) rode Clifford (X6 Ranch Bucking Cattle) for 81.2 points to finish third. The podium finish earned Bear 44 national points and propelled him from No. 14 to No. 12 in the Canadian standings.

As the final rider to convert Saturday night in front of the raucous Calgary crowd, Marcelo De Souza Dias Junior (Assis, Brazil) was fourth.

His 79.5-point effort atop Crazy Coupe (X6 Ranch Bucking Cattle) garnered him 28 national points. Unranked prior to the event, Dias is now No. 39 in Canada.

In the bull pen, Finger Roll (Legend Rodeo) and Snow Day (X6 Ranch Bucking Cattle/Legend Rodeo Stock) delivered lights-out outs, tying for the Bull of the Event honors. Both animal athletes were marked 43.8 points. Finger Roll earned the top marks for his 2.6 seconds of work against Lonnie West (Cadogan, Alberta), while Snow Day lit up the scoreboard when he upended Marco Rizzo (Quitman, Georgia) in 7.25 seconds.
