Dakota Buttar and Tyler Craig Tie For the Event Win at the PBR Canada Touring Pro Division’s Interior Provincial Exhibition Stampede in Armstrong, British Columbia

ARMSTRONG, B.C. –  As an energetic crowd at the Armstrong Fairgrounds watched on, Dakota Buttar (Eatonia, Saskatchewan) and Tyler Craig (Crossfield, Alberta) emerged the supreme competitors, delivering matching Round 1 scores to tie for the event win at the PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Canada Touring Pro Division’s Interior Provincial Exhibition Stampede.

The golden finish allowed both Buttar and Craig to solidify their positions inside the Top 5 in the heated battled for the 2026 PBR Canada Championship and accompanying $100,000 bonus.

Both Buttar and Craig delivered 85.1-point rides in Round 1. Two-time PBR Canada Champion Buttar covered Forrest Gump (Outlaw Buckers Rodeo Corp.) while Craig outlasted F.A.F.O. (Outlaw Buckers Rodeo Corp.).

In the final round, both competitors were denied a perfect outing when Buttar was tossed by Lennie (Outlaw Buckers Rodeo Corp.) in 2.47 seconds, and Craig was upended by Day Thuggin (S&M Bucking Bulls) in 2.93 seconds.

Buttar and Craig each collected 88 national points for the victory.

Maintaining their ranks within the Canadian standings, No. 3 Buttar closed within 584.33 points of No. 1 Nick Tetz (Calgary, Alberta), while No. 4 Craig inched within 672.83 points.

While Tetz was not in competition at the Interior Provincial Exhibition Stampede, No. 2 Gilmar Santana (Ouro Preto, Brazil) was, earning the opportunity to compete twice via a double entry. Santana, however, failed to capitalize, going 0-for-3. He was bucked off by Gypsy Man (S&M Bucking Bulls) in 7.68 seconds, Jingle And Go (Kinky Buckers) in 4.69 seconds and Silver Creek (Vold Rodeo) in 1.98 seconds.

Returning to the top of the event leaderboard, three-time PBR Canada Champion Aaron Roy (Yellow Grass, Saskatchewan) was third, netting 53 national points.

Roy topped Lucifer (Wilson Rodeo) for 84.7 points in Round 1, before having his shot at victory extinguished by Toxic Dreams (Vold Rodeo) in the championship round when he was tossed in 2.35 seconds.

Chasing his unprecedented fourth national title this November, Roy surged from No. 8 to No. 5 in the Canadian standings. He is now 745.83 points behind No. 1 Tetz.

Tanner Eno (Coronation, Alberta) was fourth.

Despite being bucked off by Rock Steady (Vold Rodeo) in a close 7.51 seconds in Round 1, Eno was quick to rebound in the championship round, riding Wild Angels (Kinky Buckers) for a round-winning 84.6 points.

Eno earned 49 national points and rose from No. 19 to No. 17 in Canada.

Rounding out the Top 5 in fifth was Francisco Costa (Humaita, Brazil).

Costa earned 33 national points for his 84.1-point ride on Jerry (S&M Bucking Bulls) in the opening round.

In the Canadian standings, Costa remained No. 6, closing within 757.67 points of No. 1 Tetz.

In the bull pen, Lennie (Outlaw Buckers Rodeo Corp.) bucked a cut above the rest, crowned the Bull of the Event. The powerful animal athlete was scored an unrivaled 43.3 points for his buck off of Buttar in the championship round.
